The much anticipated final episode of WandaVision’s Season 1 premiered with great gusto and it was a major roller coaster ride for sure. A lot was said and done by every major character and it’s not going to be shocking if fans are left with more questions rather than answers. *Spoiler Alert* beyond this point.
The confrontation/battle between Agatha Harkness and the Scarlet Witch was a major point of interest in the final episode. It became apparent that Agatha knew a lot about the Scarlet Witch as well as witchcraft in general thanks to her mentioning of the ‘Darkhold’ or the ‘Book of the Damned’ as it is called.
It is during this confrontation that Agatha tells Wanda that her power exceeds that of the Sorcerer Supreme. Name dropping aside, she does not mention who the Sorcerer Supreme is, so here’s what you need to know about the Sorcerer Supreme if you’re not sure.

Who is Sorcerer Supreme?
Currently, there is only one Sorcerer Supreme and fans might be familiar with this persona as he is the much famed Doctor Stephen Strange. He is known as the master of the Mystic Powers and can conjure up powerful spells.
Fans will remember that it was Doctor Strange’s actions that triggered the events in Avengers after he foresaw the fate of mankind. He is still a major character in MCU and the protagonist of the next Marvel movie that’s coming on March 24.
Agatha’s statement regarding Wanda’s powers far exceeding those of the Sorcerer Supreme meant two things. One, that she is much more powerful than Doctor Strange, and two, there is a likelihood that Wanda might become a Sorceress Supreme in the future. If either of these speculations isn’t true, then Marvel may have something much bigger planned for beloved Wanda.

With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiering towards the end of this month, the introduction of the year with WandaVision seems rather intentional on Marvel’s part. At this point, it’s safe to speculate about the possibility of either the emergence of a new Sorceress Supreme or the existence of two of them at the same time.
Since having two Sorcerer Supremes at the same time is very much possible according to the comics, it would be cool to see this happen in the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. One thing is certain, 2021 is shaping up to be the year of the occult for MCU.
