Will Wanda be in Doctor Strange 2?

After three successful Phases, which climaxed in the 2019 blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame,” Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to recreate the winning formula in its Phase 4. Disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Marvel was forced to postpone some of its Phase 4 plans. However, with the turn of the year, the studio seems to have returned to winning ways — all thanks to the Phase 4 flagbearer “WandaVision.”

Delivering 9 suspenseful episodes, the DisneyPlus Original wrapped up on the 5th of March, and now, fans can’t seem to get enough of their menacing “Scarlet Witch,” Wanda Maximoff.

If you’re one of the millions of Marvel Cinematic Universe fanatics who are hoping to see more of Wanda, be sure to give this one a thorough read — check out whether the Witch would return in Doctor Strange 2.

Will Scarlet Witch appear in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”?

Even in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Wanda Maximoff was shown as a powerful meta-human. However, as you may already know, back then, Wanda was only a science experiment, far from the Witch she’s evolved into throughout “WandaVision.”

Before she met her fate, Agatha Harkness revealed that the “harbinger of chaos,” Scarlett Witch, is one of the most powerful magical beings in the universe. That she is even more powerful than the “Sorcerer Supreme:” Doctor Strange.

Additionally, during the credits, an inquisitive ear could easily spot Doctor Strange‘s famous theme playing in the background. Finally, as guardian of the natural law of magic, Strange is cursed with the responsibility of looking into disturbances, even when they are from a fellow Avenger.

These little tokens pretty much set all of us up for an encounter between the two, and we’re guaranteed to get something epic in Doctor Strange’s upcoming adventure: “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

PS: if these obvious hints/facts weren’t enough, you’d be relieved to know that actors, Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, confirmed the movie — “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” — and their appearances in it, at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019.

Will the two be at odds with one another?

Truth be told, we don’t know much about Doctor Strange’s upcoming movie. All we know is that it would introduce us, fully, to the multiverse, and there would be some chaos involved.

Now, if “WandaVision’s” finale is anything to go by, Scarlet Witch could very well be the instigator of the said chaos, as she’s currently in quite a fragile state of mind, following the excruciating finale in “WandaVision.”

In the final end-credit scene, we saw Wanda in a remote cabin, presumably reflecting on her life. However, in the next scene, we met with her alter-ego, Scarlet Witch, browsing the pages of “The Darkhold,” while her make-believe sons, Billy and Tommy, cry for help.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, Wanda’s Scarlet Witch seems to be playing with reality-bending magic, probably trying to bring her Westview sons to life. If that truly is the case, Doctor Strange — who now happens to be responsible for the natural law of magic — will most certainly take a closer look, making sure there are no grave consequences.

We do hope the two would learn to live with one another by the end of the movie, but they are likely to be at each other’s throats for the majority of it.

When will Doctor Strange 2 come out?

Like most of the movies, Doctor Strange 2 has also been badly affected by the pandemic. The movie has been pushed back to March 2022 and will come shortly after “Spiderman: No Way Home.” The movie would explore the magic of the multiverse after the third Spiderman movie introduces it in December 2021.
